⬛️ THE ABCs of Becoming a Christian: How We Say "Yes!" to Jesus
A – ADMIT
Admit to God that you’ve sinned. That means you’ve done wrong things—like disobeying, lying, or being selfish.
Everyone has sinned—even the first people God made.
📖 Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
But God still loves you. When you tell God that you’ve sinned and want to stop going your own way, that’s called repentance.
Repenting means turning away from your sin and turning to Jesus—not just trying to "be good."
📖 Acts 3:19; 1 John 1:9
💬 Say it like this:
"God, I know I’ve messed up. I want to turn away from my sin and trust You."
B – BELIEVE
Believe that Jesus is God’s Son. He came to rescue you!
You can’t fix your sin problem on your own—not by going to church, being kind, or reading your Bible.
Only Jesus can save you—because He died on the cross and came back to life.
📖 Acts 16:31; Acts 4:12; John 14:6; Ephesians 2:8–9
💬 Say it like this:
"I believe Jesus is God’s Son. I trust that He died and rose again to save me."
C – CONFESS
Confess your faith in Jesus out loud. That means saying it with your mouth:
"Jesus is my Savior, and He’s the Leader of my life!"
When you do that, you’re telling God and others that you belong to Him now—and you want to follow Him every day.
📖 Romans 10:9–10, 13
💬 Say it like this:
"Jesus, You are my Savior and Lord. I want to follow You with my life."
🌟 What Happens Next?
When you admit, believe, and confess, you become part of God’s forever family.
You are born again—given a brand new start—and God promises to always be with you.
